National Security and Worship

Introduction

As a National Crises Troubleshooter for the past 55 years (with a short break for college where I graduated at the top of my class and received an offer to come to Livermore at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where I earned the reputation as “The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter”), my interests, of course, include national security.  I learned about national security of the Israelite nation while teaching fourth grade Sunday school at TC.  It appears the Israelites had a slight problem understanding the guidelines that were given to them that would have made their new nation successful.  It also appears the Apostles had a slight problem with understanding the instructions that the messenger (the Representative of the Creator of the Universe, or “RoCoU”) they called Jesus gave to them on His exit from this planet Earth.

The Time Line:

  • The Israelites took the Ten Guidelines for a successful nation as literal commands.
  • The Israelites actually made a religion around these Ten Guidelines they took as Ten Commandments.
  • The Israelites were overrun by their neighbors the Babylonians and their elites forced into exile.
  • See http://gadflyblog.com/tag/worship for complete paper

Summary

In regard to national security, nothing that man has thought up could surpass this gift of a personal guide through life. There is no possibility that a “sacred cow” could be made of this gift and therefore not a threat to our national security or discourse within our nation among our citizens.

 Conclusion

In a nutshell, the Ten Guidelines, Ten Codes of Conduct, or, as the religious demand, Ten Commandments recorded in Exodus chapter twenty were given to a new-forming nation that was given land to build their nation.  These Ten Guidelines, when followed, would give this new nation a high economic operating efficiency.   Their national debt would not be skyrocketing out of control, exceeding their capacity to even make payments on the interest to the loans from other countries.  They would be a stronger nation than their competitors’ nations and would not be overrun by their neighbors.  These Ten Guidelines are all about national security and influence to the world.

The Path to World Peace ver. 1.2.7

A Case of Mistaken Identity

Abstract

Introduction

The path to world peace is much simpler than anyone has imagined. Peace on Earth could come down to one word: “worship” and a case of mistaken identity.

World peace has not been known since the Homo sapiens evolved on the planet and started their expansion across the globe.  Some other homos also evolved – such as the Homo Neanderthal – but the Homo sapiens (wise Homo) dominated the planet Earth.  Conflict often resulted from competition for natural resources or over territorial boundaries.  With the advent of ice ages and low sea levels, the Homo sapiens populated the globe.  Due to different climates, these Homo sapiens evolved to match their environment.  As populations grew and resources became scarce, wars of expansion dominated the globe for centuries.

There is a place in the Mediterranean known as the Fertile Crescent, where agriculture replaced the hunters and gathers and permanent communities and cities began to appear as the ice age receded.  As part of the evolution of man, worship was a key element in almost all of the societies on the planet.  Worship took on different forms, from sun worshipers to human sacrifices to the gods.

Conclusion

  • To repeat: the major focus of the new Paradigm is the “Personal Counselor”, a.k.a. The Holy Spirit that was sent to us by the RoCoU to guide us through life and teach us everything we need to know. [i] This is the New Paradigm shift and is exclusive of the Old Paradigm, and not a progression of the Old Paradigm. Thus, the path to world peace is this simple: just listen for this counselor and He will find you, guide you and teach you.

  • Do not make yourself an idol and worship your idol: not God, Jesus, Allah, Mohamed, Buddha, Confucius; the cross, the Star of David, the Bible, the New Testament, the Quran, or any written works. Anything that will take control of your decision-making, such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs of all kinds, etc. become idols, and addictions become sacred cows and sacred cows need to be defended at all costs until death! Therefore, The Path to World Peace is to eliminate all worship for it is worship that creates sacred cows and causes differences that must be defended. Worship is an artifact of ancient man.  Stay in control of your life by listening to the Personal Counselor that the RoCoU sent to you.

Definition of Gad Fly

  • A fly that bites livestock, especially a horsefly, warble fly, or botfly.
  • An annoying person, especially one who provokes others into action by criticism.

The Gad Fly of the Greek Democracy[i]

  • Plato refers to Socrates as the “gad fly” of the state (as the gad fly stings the horse into action, so Socrates stung various Athenians).

The Gad Fly of the Christian Church[ii]

A New Paradigm in Christian Thinkingis the gad fly of the Christian Church.  Christian Churches do not accept criticism, ever. The price of criticism in the Christian Church is excommunication.  Christian sees themselves as “birds of a feather” and a critical bird is not of their nest.  They must protect the income and salaries of the professional Christians, the minds of their youth and the minds of all of their members from the gad flies of the Christian Church. Professional Christians must preach to the choir, instructing them on the religion that they have chosen to put their faith.  The cost of not preaching to the choir is that the choir will vote with their feet and donations, resulting in a loss of income to the church and the professional Christians who probably have children – if Protestant – that they need to get through college and a mortgage to pay off.   If the professional Christians are Catholic, they will not meet with the approval of the hierarchy of the church and will be excommunicated.

Max Planck, the German nuclear physicist of the early twentieth century, stated, “A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.[iii]

The same statement can be made of religion.  Acceptance of a new viewpoint of the existing data on religion can only take place when a younger generation becomes comfortable with these new views and those who are adamantly opposed to these new views die off.

Because of this self-protection of the minds of the youths, the church is destined to disappear for failure to keep up with our knowledge of the universe and the light it has shined on our knowledge and purpose of the visit to planet Earth of the Representative of the Creator of the Universe (RoCoU) two thousand years ago, and taught how the Homo sapiens who have evolved over the past thousands of centuries can get their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter met on this planet Earth and how to live in peace with each other and other nations.

An interesting side note is that Paleoanthropologist has found no link to the evolution of the Homo sapien skull to that of the evolved Ancient Man, leaving open the creation of the Homo species by the “Creator of the Universe”.  Although ancient man and modern man have identical bone structure from the neck on down, their skulls and thus brains are much different, nor is there any evidence of a transitional development from the skull of Ancient Man to the skull (Brain) of the Homo Species. [iv]

The advances in our knowledge of the universe and the life creation process in the last one hundred years, mainly due to the Hubble Telescope and advances in life science, have put the Christian Church in a position where they need to update their theology from religious to pragmatic (cause and effect, science) or face extinction.  The church is clearly in a positon of “grow or die” and the church cannot possibly grow with the determination to maintain their existing course, a course established and handed down through the generations and centuries by people that did not understand the meaning, instructions from the RoCoU and implications of the events that had taken place in the very beginning of “The Way” or the Christian Church.  These events took place in a very religious society and that society, for the most part, saw and recorded these events through a religious lens (perspective).

Case Study I

The RoCoU that visited planet Earth two thousand years ago taught the audience that had gathered around Him how to get along with other people on a one-on-one basis and how nations could live in peace with one another on a nation-to-nation basis.[v]

  • For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” [vi] From the accepted Christian perspective, their judgments will be judged by a higher power at the end of the life of planet Earth. They do not see their judging others as something that has immediate consequences.  From the pragmatic perspective, the effect of judging others – be it one-on-one or nation-to-nation – will have immediate consequences.  All Homo sapiens on planet Earth are of equal authority; one does not have dominion over another. And as one Homo sapien judges another, so in turn are they judged by those they are judging in real time by the same measure they are using to judge!

This holds true for one nation to judge another nation. As one nation judges another, so is that nation judged, by the measure they use to judge, by the nation they are judging.  As in the case where the USA is judging ISIS with “air strikes,” the USA is being judged by ISIS attacking soft target (civilian targets, airplanes, restaurants, public places, etc.) with bombing and assault weapons.  The USA has judged ISIS as “barbaric” and ISIS, in turn, has judged the USA as “barbaric”.  This ISIS War has made it impossible to tell the Barbarians from the Barbarians.

Wars of our past have been mislabeled.  We must remember that the President of the USA is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the USA.  The orders given by the President must be followed by the USA military forces.  The President does not issue illegal orders.  If the President  orders it, it is a legal order and must be obeyed by those in subornation to the Commander-in-Chief.  One can argue that they do not have to follow an illegal order, but they will probably be sent to the brig while the Supreme Court reviews their case. They will be removed from and replaced from duty and someone else will carry out the Commander-in-Chief’s order.

Therefore the Civil War as we know it was not our civil war – it was  Lincoln’s War.  The USA involvement in WWII was FDR’s and Truman’s War.  Harry Truman was President when the Korean War began in 1950, and Dwight Eisenhower was elected in 1952 and was President when the armistice was signed in 1953.  The Vietnam War was JFK’s initiative and LBJ’s Bombing War; Nixon pulled USA troops out of Vietnam. The Serbia vs. Bosnia, Kosovo, NATO was Clinton’s war.  The Persian Gulf War I with Iraq was G.H.W. Bush’s War.  The Iraq War was G.W. Bush’s War and the ISIS-ISIL War is Obama’s War.

As a professional troubleshooter for over forty years, I can equivalently state that, “A problem must be accurately described before action is taken to try and solve the problem; if not, a bigger problem will be the result.”  By placing the proper labels on our past wars, we should gain some insight as to the right problem to solve.

The Right Problem to Solve

  • Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.” [vii]

The term “workable compromise” was not coined until the twentieth century. Is it any wonder that our ancestors did not understand the meaning of the above instruction from the RoCoU during his visit to planet Earth two thousand years ago?  A workable Compromise is a solution to conflicts that work for all participants in the disagreement.  The first step in search of a workable compromise is to ask the conflicting subject, “What do you want?”  If one does not understand what the conflicting parties want, how can a resolution ever be found that works for the principle parties?

  • Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.[viii]

Here we have the workable compromise on a much larger scale.  In the case of USA vs. ISIS, the question was never asked, “What do you want?”  If we trace back the steps of the previous administrations, we should be able to predict what ISIS-ISIL wants.  The Sunni Muslims were in power in Iraq prior to G.W. Bush’s administration.  G.W. Bush’s War left the Sunni dispossessed from their homeland by the puppet Shiite Muslim administration installed by Bush. Iraq’s neighbor, Syria, was involved in its own civil war; The Sunni Muslims, now still armed with their weapons from the now defunct Iraq Red Army, seized the opportunity and developed their base of operation in Syria.  This new ISIL then made pronouncement on video, in a very barbaric way, for the USA to “Stay out of our fight.”  The Obama administration judged ISIL as “terrorists” and initiated air strikes against ISIS-ISIL as they threatened our allies in power in Iraq.

As described above in Case Study I, judging a nation as terrorist will result in the judging nation to be judged as terrorist by the judged nation.   As the USA conducted air strikes against “hard targets” (military targets) in an attempt to minimize collateral damage (civilian deaths), ISIS-ISIL, in retaliation, began bombing and assaulting soft targets (Civilian Targets).

Judging and the lack of ability to negotiate a workable compromise by the Obama administration has, and will continue to, cost the western civilization much cost in damage, dislocation of refugees and lives of civilians.  It is apparent that even a routine change in the administration by a newly elected administration will not end this conflict with ISIS-ISIL. A resignation or impeachment of the Chief Executive seems the proper road to pursue.  A newly elected administration would be in a position of trying to apologize for the actions of the previous administrations, and that never happens.

The Lens Used for the Viewing of the Facts

The lens one views the facts, events or evidence through determines the conclusions that the viewer will hold as the correct interpretation of the facts, events or evidence. The classic scenario is this: Two men who are walking in the woods come upon an immaculate garden, complete with trimmed hedges, flower garden arrangements, etc.   One man states, “There must be a caretaker for this place.” The other man states, “What a wonderful work of nature.”   The events that took place during the visit of the RoCoU two thousand years ago can be looked at through a religious lens or a pragmatic lens.

There are two and maybe three writers that were able to record the events, of the visit to Earth by the RoCoU and the events that took place, without looking though there religious lens.  Mark, who wrote the book of Mark in the Book of Books, the Bible, was a young man on the perimeter of the core group who became the Apostles of the RoCoU. He found himself in Rome where much persecution was taking place of the “Christians” in Rome.  He took it upon himself to record for the purpose of history the events that had taken place during his life.  He was an eyewitness to some of the events and received reports from those who were part of the core group of the RoCoU.  The style of writing for an historian is to answer the questions, “who, what, where and when.”   Luke, who wrote the books of Luke (Luke I) and Acts of the Apostles (Luke II), was contracted to record the events that had and were taking place in this time period. [ix]  Luke wrote under the guidelines of a journalist, answering “who, what, where and when.”  Luke was an eyewitness to many of the events that took place, he interviewed others who were eyewitnesses of events and he was an embedded journalist with the Apostle Paul on his missionary journeys.  Matthew was a tax collector and a Jew who made an argument to Jews of the authentication of the RoCoU to the Jewish religion.  He sometimes included the “why” in his writings, as did John in the book of John.  This would make their writing styles, “who, what, where, when and why” a little more difficult to sort out the facts from their interpretation of the facts and events that took place during this visit of the RoCoU.  The Apostle Paul was highly educated in Jewish religion and history.  He viewed our relationship with the RoCoU through the lens of Jewish religion and history.  A close examination of the writing of Paul will disclose that his view of the RoCoU’s visit to planet Earth was religious and the RoCoU’s view of his visit to earth was pragmatic and the next step in the evolution of the Homo species on planet Earth.

The Gad Fly of the Democracy of the USA

The present day gad fly of democracy in the USA is The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter, Retired.[x]  The Greeks invented democracy from scratch and it worked well for them for about 170 years.  The Greeks were on the peak of their Golden Age when they got tired of hearing their gad fly, Socrates, who was a critic of their society, in particular of the shortcomings and corruption in this democracy.  Socrates was one of the founders of western philosophy.  The Greek Senate charged Socrates with “corrupting the minds of the youth,” and they sentenced Socrates to death.  The death of Socrates was the beginning of the downfall of Greece, for they had lost their “guidepost.”

The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter, like Socrates has been excommunicated from his position at a national laboratory by management that took offense to his proposals that threated their power structure.  His teaching credentials were canceled in a local church for “corrupting the minds of the youth” and not teaching the church’s official view on the subject. He was excommunicated from a church where he was a member in good standing for twenty years for publishing “A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking” [xi] and corrupting the minds of their youth and any other person in their church with science and philosophy.  Thank God for civil laws that protects our citizens from physical harm.

Our President has not chosen to listen to this gad fly, when he suggested that a workable compromise be initiated to resolve the conflict of space, control and authority in Iraq between the three different sects of Muslims. This was proposed by the Vice President, and now the reining authority in Syria has been added to the mix; he chose to put together a coalition of nations to wipe ISIS-ISIL from planet Earth.  ISIS-ISIL has retaliated with attacks against this coalition of nations and the USA hitting soft targets.  We should expect this activity to continue. The best outcome, using the best military forces on the planet,  for a military victory, will be guerilla warfare with the soft targets continuing to be hit by these guerilla fighters.  The only solution to the ISIS-ISIL conflict is a workable compromise – a permanent home for the displaced Sunni Muslims from their Iraq home.

Lessons from History

In 480 B.C. the Persians were set upon wiping the Greeks off the Earth or enslaving them.  The Persians greatly outnumbered the Greeks.  The Persians were under autocratic the rule of Xerxes; the Greeks were under democratic rule (one for all and all for one).   The Persians overran the Greek Spartans (trained warriors) at the pass of Thermopylae [xii] and sacked Athens, which had been evacuated by the Greeks.

The Persians had large war ships (similar to that of the USA navy, bigger than their opponents).  The Greeks built small maneuverable war ships with a torpedo like Ram on the bow of the ship (A trireme).  The Greeks lured the Persian navy in to the Aegean Sea where there were many islands presenting a maneuverable issue for the Persians.  With their mobility (like ISIS-ISIL), the Greeks ran circles around the larger Persian ships and rammed the Persian ships with their torpedo like Rams at the front of their ships and sank the Persian Fleet. [xiii]

Beware USA your large arsenal of weapons is being out maneuvered by an adversary who is focused on mobility.

The USA Transition from a Republic to a Democracy

The USA was formed as a republic and has been in a long transition to a democracy in small steps. This change has come about by allowing more of the population to vote in elections and it changed the way our President was elected.  In the beginning, only land owners could vote in the elections.  These were the people who had an invested interest in the profitability of the nation, much like that of stockholders voting in a corporation. [xiv]  The vote has slowly been extended, for various reasons, to other segments of our society who do not have an investment or knowledge of producing a profitable nation (women, teens, those on government assistance).  We certainly have improved on the lifestyles of our citizens, as have the Greeks, but our national debt is rising above our ability to pay the interest, which could eventually result in foreclosure on our property (nation) by our creditors (like the two bailouts of the Greeks by the EU in recent history).

The Life Span of a Democracy

The average lifespan for a democracy is about 170 years, as established by the Greeks.  In the Greek democracy, leaders were chosen by a lottery, thus minimizing payoffs and corruption in the government.  Serving as a leader was considered a duty of citizenship.  Ballots could be cast to remove a government leader from office and they would be exiled for ten years from their society. In the Greek democracy, only about 20 percent of the population could vote. [xv]   The Greeks now have more people on the government payroll than people paying taxes to support the government. Is this direction the USA wants to continue to pursue?

The Code of Conduct to Live Long in this Land

There is a “code of conduct” that was intended to provide for the continued success of a nation living long in the land that had been giving to them.  Unfortunately, these were given to a very religious people and they did not understand the economic implications of these Ten Codes of Conduct.  Unfortunately, these Ten Codes of Conduct are still seen as religious by almost our entire society, religious and secular alike.  When one sets aside their religious lens, the pragmatic lens shows that the economics of these Ten Codes of Conduct can be realized.  The original Codes of Conduct were given in an ancient language; therefore, the proper perspective is to look at them through the eyes of a parent giving instruction to their children so that they might live long in the land the parent was giving them to raise their generations.

  1. You will not listen to anyone but your father for guidance.
  2. You will not form addictions that will prevent you from making your own decisions.
  3. You will not use my name as an authority to cause trouble or discomfort for any other person on this planet Earth.
  4. You will take a day off, after every six days of work, and remember who gave you this land and enjoy your time with family and friends, and you will allow your employees time off to enjoy their family and friends, and you will not mow your lawn on this day and interrupt the peace of your neighbors.
  5. Remember what your mother and father taught you, and hand down those teaching to your children and grandchildren, that you might live long in this land I have given you.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not steal.
  8. You shall not give false witness against your neighbor.
  9. You shall not seek an intimate relationship with your neighbor’s wife.
  10. You shall not scheme to gain possession of your neighbor’s property.
  11. You will not build a big mansion type house in your neighbor’s back yard.
  12. You shall keep the walk-ways, of your communities, free of “Foxtails” that injure our pets. [xvi]

Introduction

As of late, there are several incidents in this first quarter of the twenty-first century that involve using Christianity as an offensive weapon.  The Representative of the Creator of the Universe (RoCoU) visited planet Earth twenty centuries ago and used parables to teach us that peace on this planet Earth can be obtained by “negotiating a workable compromise.”   This is a negotiating process that results in an agreement between individuals, organizations and nations and that works for all parties concerned.[i]

Case Study 1

The USA sought to oust the dictator of Iraq and did so effectively.  The overthrow of the dictator was justified from the fear that weapons of mass destruction were being constructed.  The driver for this operation was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the USA Armed Forces.  This was someone more knowledgeable of the military might of the USA than of negotiating a workable compromise.  However, the government installed a replacement for this dictatorship and, in turn, ousted the Islamic sect that was previously in power under this dictatorship. This resulted in their being disenfranchised from their home country.

The disenfranchised military members left their homeland with their weapons they possessed as being a part of the dictatorship’s army.  These disenfranchised military members formed their own group now known as ISIS-ISIL.  This new group rightly blamed the USA for their disenfranchisement and made their demands clear in a barbaric fashion. They did not want the USA involved in their objective to establish a home nation for this group in Iraq and Syria.

While under public pressure, the leadership of the USA retaliated against ISIS-ISIL with military air forces.  The USA leadership had an opportunity to negotiate a workable compromise at this time but instead chose to retaliate with force, and they did so under the label of Christianity.  ISIS-ISIL then retaliated against soft targets in Europe and, using propaganda on the internet, was able to influence USA citizens to retaliate against soft targets in the USA.  As they see the USA as a Christian nation, all citizens of the USA qualify as a soft target.

This progression of the USA targeting hard targets and ISIS-ISIL targeting soft targets has now escalated past the point of the present leadership of the USA to be able to negotiate a workable compromise with ISIS-ISIL.  A change in leadership with another leader not capable or experienced in negotiating workable compromises would effectively just be a change in the face of the leadership and would not result in a policy change from military action to negotiating a workable compromise. The RoCoU taught us during His visit twenty centuries ago to live in peace with our neighboring nations.  This leaves the only solution to peace as impeachment or resignation of the President of the USA, which would send a clear message to ISIS-ISSL that the USA is ready to negotiate a workable compromise.

Case Study 2

The leadership of a small local independent church was following the examples given in the New Testament of the Bible to guide and organize their church.  When their New Testament theology was threatened by the discovery of a scientific explanation of the events that were reported in the four Gospels and in the Acts of the Apostles of this New Testament, the leadership chose to take offensive action to protect their religious tradition.

What could be the possible reasoning behind this aggressive offense by church and state?

  • The USA leadership was pressured by public opinion to take military action against ISIS-ISIL because of their barbaric method of sending a message to the USA to stay out of their fight.
  • The leadership of the USA mistakenly thought that an aggressive military action was consistent with Christian values.
  • The Commander-in-Chief’s responsibility is given to the President, when instead it should be delegated to a much wiser panel of mature statesmen (not the Joints Chiefs of Staff, as they have a conflict of interest, which was demonstrated by the invasion of Iraq).
  • Christian leadership in the church has become a professional Christian role. Professional Christians have a conflict of interest in their churches (Protestant), as they must maintain continued funding by a fickle membership to ensure the continuity of their salary.  The use of laypersons to perform leadership duties in the church mitigates this conflict of interest and would lead the way for debate on the Gospel in the church.  In another major non-Protestant denomination, this conflict of interest is mitigated by a corporate style of leadership.  In this case, it is a follow-the-leader style of church with a hierarchy of church leaders.  For this reason, the idea of open debate is unheard of in this denomination of the Christian church, as final authority rests with their chosen leader.
  • Debate in the church has been discouraged dating back to the Apostle Paul. Paul knew he was right even if he was not[ii] and the other orators were declared unreliable by Paul. [iii] Any interpretation of the Gospel other than that defined by the Apostle Paul was and is an imposter.
  • The RoCoU, on the other hand, stressed the use of negotiating a workable compromise to resolve differences of opinion in the church, in society microscopically and between nations macroscopically. [iv] Certainly he would have supported open debate in the church over the closed church doctrine that now exists in most present day churches.
  • A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it,” – Max Planck. [v] So it must also be true of a “New Paradigm in Christian Thinking.”

The Origin of the Holy Spirit Ver. 1.0.1

The Philosopher

Introduction

The Holy Spirit has been recorded as arriving on the day of the Pentecost Festival, fifty days after the crucifixion of the Representative of the Creator of the Universe (RoCoU), a.k.a. Jesus. [i] However, Socrates was reported to be the wisest man on the planet in his time.

Socrates and the Source of his Wisdom

According to Plato’s Apology, Socrates’ life as the ‘gadfly’ of Athens began when his friend Chaerephon asked the oracle at Delphi if anyone were wiser than Socrates; the Oracle responded that no-one was wiser. Socrates believed the Oracle’s response was a paradox, because he believed he possessed no wisdom whatsoever. Socrates concluded: While each man thought he knew a great deal and was wise, in fact they knew very little and were not wise at all. Socrates realized the Oracle was correct; while so-called wise men thought themselves wise and yet were not, he himself knew he was not wise at all, which, paradoxically, made him the wiser one since he was the only person aware of his own ignorance.”[ii]

Socrates and His Guiding Spirit

“Perhaps the most interesting facet of this is Socrates’ reliance on what the Greeks called his ‘daimōnic sign,’ an averting (ἀποτρεπτικός apotreptikos) inner voice Socrates heard only when he was about to make a mistake. It was this sign that prevented Socrates from entering into politics. In the Phaedrus, we are told Socrates considered this to be a form of ‘divine madness,’ the sort of insanity that is a gift from the gods and gives us poetry, mysticism, love, and even philosophy itself. Alternately, the sign is often taken to be what we would call ‘intuition;’ however, Socrates’ characterization of the phenomenon as daimōnic may suggest that its origin is divine, mysterious, and independent of his own thoughts.” [iii]

Conclusion

Therefore the Holy Spirit preceded the coming of RoCoU, a.k.a. Jesus, a.k.a. the Savior, a.k.a. the Counselor.  The events that occurred on planet Earth before and after the arrival of RoCoU, a.k.a. Jesus, would indicate that very few, if any, other than Socrates allowed this Spirit to guide them through life on Earth.

Introduction

Drug addiction can be beat by knowing just a little about how our brains work and with a little help from a Russian Psychologist, Dr. Ivan Pavlov, and his discovery of “Conditioned Response” and acknowledging the existence of a “Higher Power.”

Conditioned Response

Pavlov performed many experiments with animals, but his most notable accomplishment was his work with a dog in a cage, a large beef steak and a bell.  He would offer the steak to the dog in the cage from outside the cage and the dog would salivate.  He then offered the steak to the dog and rang a bell.  He continued this procedure for several iterations, and then he just rang the bell and the dog would salivate.  This is how he developed his theory of “Conditioned Response.” [i]

The Existence of a Higher Power

The existence of a Higher Power has been the subject of debate with philosophers for many centuries, and the results often depend on the preexisting thoughts of observers when they are shown evidence of this Higher Power.  Two arguments are thus summarized.

The Watch in the Sand

You are walking along a deserted beach, you find a watch in the sand (electronic or geared), and you conclude, ‘People have been here,’ because it is highly unlikely that a mechanism as intricately designed as a watch might be thrown together by the chance forces of nature.  A pebble on the beach might be curiously shaped, but anything approaching the complexity of a tool or a piece of sculpture, much less a complex mechanism, would strike us as proof of some intelligent being.”  So it is with the universe. [ii]

The Caretaker

Two men are traveling through the woods on foot and they come upon a well-manicured garden.  It is a garden perfectly shaped and trimmed with flower beds arranged in perfect order.  The one man sates, “There must be a caretaker around here to make this so beautiful.”  The second man expounds, “This is a beautiful work of nature!” [iii]

The Universe

The facts revealed in recent years about the universe is that the Big Bang Theory is now well accepted among astrophysicists and astrologers, and they have estimated that there are approximately four billion planets similar to planet Earth in orbit around a sun in the “Goldilocks Zone” (Not too hot, not too cold, not too big, and not too small). With water and amino acid, life can begin and evolve on these planets, as all the other elements for life are readily available in the universe. These elements are also known as “star dust.”  We can argue that this was an act of nature and not of a Higher Power, or we can accept that a Higher Power put the universe in action with a Big Bang and it is held in shape by a web of gravitational waves. [iv]

The Method of Quitting the Drug Habit

This method for breaking the drug habit is based on the work of Dr. Ivan Pavlov in developing the theory of Conditioned Response and my own experience as a smoker of eighteen years.  The following method applies the technology of Conditioned Response to the drug habit and redirects the response to complete the transaction begun by the stimulus. The stimulus is then removed by soliciting the aid of a Higher Power.  This method is as simple as teaching a dog to sit or roll over. We can be trained to quit a drug habit, or, for that matter, train ourselves to do anything.  The conscious mind trains the unconscious mind, and the unconscious mind does everything automatically, from putting a cup of coffee to our lips to reaching for a small book or smart phone instead of a drug.

The Drug Habit as a Conditioned Response

The first step in stopping a drug addiction is to identify the stimulus received that causes the response to want to “take a drug.”  For me, the stimulus was an empty feeling in my chest that signaled my need for nicotine. Once the stimulus is identified, the response can be redirected.

REDIRECTING THE RESPONSE

The second step is to redirect the response that is given to the stimulus. A lot of people redirect the response to their mouth by eating something, chewing gum or a toothpick. A better place to redirect the response is to the mind. Redirection can be accomplished by replacing the cigarette pack with a small book the same size as a pack of cigarettes  such as a New Testament Bible or a Smart Phone with the “TEXT” to be read).   I suggest Psalm I and is recommended for its relationship to a higher power). This action in itself is a new response. When the stimulus is received (I need a cigarette), the words of the passage are read and they bring to conclusion the transaction initiated by the stimulus. The retraining has begun.

The Final Step

The final step is to ask the Higher Power to take away the stimulus.  The very act of admitting a need for intervention of the Higher Power transfers responsibility for removing the stimulus to the Higher Power. You are also showing a trust for the Higher Power to remove the stimulus.  Some common names for the Higher Power are: God, Jesus, Yahweh, Father, and Jehovah, etc. Use any name you desire for this Higher Power.   Some people call this prayer. I simply call it talking with the Higher Power.  This action is still consistent with the Conditioned Response Theory.  These actions (praying, talking, asking) bring to conclusion the transaction that began with the stimulus (“I need a drug”).

A Proven Method

The method I found that worked was to insert a New Testament and Psalms Bible into my shirt pocket where the cigarettes would normally be kept. This book is the same size as a pack of cigarettes and works well as a substitute, as would a smartphone displaying the selected text. When the stimulus was received, I pulled out the book, turned to the first Psalm and read it from beginning to end.  The first Psalms begins with, “Blessed is the man (woman) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked….”  The Psalm continues, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.”  In about three days, I had successfully transferred the response to reading the passage.  I then asked my Higher Power to remove the stimulus and admitted I was powerless to remove it myself. The simple act of asking and admitting to be powerless, to do this myself, was enough to remove the stimulus.  In a short time, I did not have to ask. The stimulus was gone and I was free of the addiction to this drug.

Psalm 1 (NIV)

Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers,

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked!

They are like chaff

that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

The Mirror Image of Christianity

In a recent broadcast by “Frontline” on PBS, interviews and strategies of ISIS were shown.  The ISIS strategy is to make Islam the world religion and the use of arms will be used to bring about this change in the world’s societies.  Their children start the education process as young as four years old.  If they are old enough to manage the use of a handgun, they qualify for training as an ISIS Evangelist.  The youth are indoctrinated into the ISIS theology and, as they are able, taught how to use more sophisticated weapons to accomplish the ISIS mission.  This ISIS doctrine is to do what God wants them to do and that is to make Islam the world religion.  They live their lives to please God.

Christianity

Take out the weapons and what is left is the mirror image of Christianity.  Or can we take out the weapons?  Christians no longer use just simple handguns or even machine guns; they use war planes to conduct highly accurate air strikes against the so called “Terrorist.”  Putting a label on someone to dehumanize them is the first step in genocide operations.  As ISIS uses simple weapons like knives, IUDs and automatic weapons on “soft targets” (unarmed civilian targets), the Christian nations employ their advanced weapons against “hard targets” (those of military interests).  ISIS then responds with more attacks on soft targets.  The Christian nations respond with more air strikes.  Around and around we go in this never ending “Do Loop” (a computer programing term for a program that continually repeats itself with a “Do” command).  But the Christians are doing what they think God wants them to do and they are living their lives to please God; a mirror image of ISIS.

Case Study

For an example of putting their belief in pleasing God as preeminent over their relationships with others of God’s children, see the recordings of events in the journals of Luke in Chapter 5 of the Book of Acts of the Apostles in the Book of Books, The Bible.  A short synopsis of this event was that the Apostles were in the process of establishing a socialist organization that would take care of the poor and widows among them.  Peter, the leader of the Apostles in this time period, demanded that everyone contribute their resources to this socialist cause.  When a husband and wife team had sold their property and only given the Apostles a portion of the proceeds from this sale of their capitalist profits, Peter publically renounced them one by one as sinning against God.  Both of the members of this capitalist team died on the spot, probably from heart failure at being accused of sinning against God.  Peter erroneously put living his life to please God over the lives of the other children of God.  This same phenomenon of putting their worship of God over their relationship with other of God’s children can still be observed in the Christian societies all over the world.

Where to Go from Here

Commentators are suggesting the Christian nations send in ground troops to wipe ISIS off the map, but ISIS theology is now all over the map.  They want ISIS to flee, but flee to where?  ISIS has its beginnings from those who were disenfranchised from their homeland in Iraq by the puppet government the Christian nations put in place after the removal of the existing government in Iraq. The invasion of Iraq by Christian nations is now considered, by some national crises troubleshooters, as the stupidest foreign policy that has ever been put forth by these Christian nations.  We may not like what some of these national dictators do in their own countries, but it is not our business to put these dictators out of business by the use of our military forces.  The way that Jesus taught to take care of these issues was by prayer and oratory, teaching them about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Founding Fathers of the USA went to great lengths to ensure that religious organizations did not have political power or the use of the military forces to accomplish their religious goals. There is a long tradition of a fuzzy line between church and state to ensure that religions cannot force people into their religious beliefs.  However, in the exercise of our political power in international relations, we helped establish a religious nation and helped to arm them to the level of a nuclear nation, making a religious nation with political and military power.  We called this new nation Israel.

This new nation based on religion upset the balance to power in this region.  When this region was under the Ottoman Empire before World War I, the Ottoman Empire had undergone a culture revolution similar to the French and English culture revolutions.  The Sultan had advocated and people were allowed to choose their own destiny.  Several ethnic groups: Jews, Turks, Arabs, Palestinians, etc. resided in this area for centuries and had learned to live together in a somewhat harmonious state.  Difficulties in this area resulted from the Russians purging the Jews from Russia.  Some of these Jews immigrated to their ancient homeland and upset the balance of power and harmony in this area.  The new immigrants from Russian not only did not know how to farm in this new climate, as it was much different than the farming in Russia, but they did not know how to relate to the other ethnic groups who had lived in this land for centuries.  Turmoil was the result of these new Jewish immigrants into their ancient homeland.  After World War II, the Christian nations chose to make this ancient homeland of the Jews their own officially recognized nation.  The turmoil in this region continues into the first quarter of the twenty-first century, as there is now a religious nation armed to keep this land to themselves and exclude the other ethnic groups who also claim this land as their ancient homeland.

The Solution to Peace in the World

As long as we continue to pit religion against religion, the best we going to end up with is a continued argument about whose religion and whose God we serve.  A close look at the teachings of Jesus shows that He was indeed ahead of His time.  He knew more about science than all the scientists now on Earth.  We are still in our infancy in learning what Jesus already knew.  He just could not teach all that He knew to a people that could not yet understand his teachings.  A college professor does not enter into a lecture hall and teach their students all that they know.  No, they teach their students what they think they are capable of understanding at that point in time.   Anyone who has studied and been involved in one of the applied science should recognize that Jesus was teaching the people of his day about applied science.

There is an axiom in philosophy that states that, “Once you have chosen who to ask the question, you have already determined the answer.”  If you ask a religious person like the Apostle Paul about the Gospel of Jesus, you are going to get a religious answer, because Paul was an exceptional authority on Jewish religion.  If you ask a present day applied scientist about the Gospel of Jesus, he probably would answer in scientific terms.

Experimental Science has only been around for about four hundred years.  Experimental Science is the science that proves or disproves Theoretical Science theories. Experimental Science was introduced into the world by Galileo, who used his handmade telescope to produce data that proved the Copernican heliocentric theory, that the Earth rotated about the Sun and not the contrary that the official church subscribed to.  Galileo’s reward for this discovery by the church, which had political power, was life imprisonment, which was relegated to house arrest for the five remaining years of his life.  Applied Science is the science that applies what we have learned about science to solving the problems and issues of the day and has grown into the technology that is all about us in this first quarter of the twenty-first century.

It is of no wonder that the people that Jesus was teaching about applied science could not comprehend what was being taught to them; the Applied Sciences had not yet been discovered by man.  As has been the case all through the history of man, man has made a religion out of things and events when he did not understand the supporting science.  An astrophysicist said, “Science tells you the truth whether you like it or not”.  Religion is something one chooses to believe, this can be caused by many various reasons, including: coercion, inheritance, crowd psychology, social pressures, family pressures, a means of saying in business and earning a living, indoctrination from youth, or evangelized by circumstances and oratory arguments.

The solution to peace in the world then seems obvious: teach the world about the science behind the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (or your Personal Counselor as Jesus called the Holy Spirit).

The Church that Jesus Wanted ver. 1.0.1
The Philosopher
http://thephilosopheronpolitics.wordpress.com/tag/Jesus’s-Church/
7/8/2015

    Introduction

Jesus was assigned the mission of establishing His Church on this planet by His Father in Heaven. Jesus was given a task force of twelve men to accomplish this mission. This made Jesus the Task Force Leader. As a former Task Force leader myself for the Energy and Defense Departments at a National Laboratory in Northern California and with 30 years of experience on various Task Forces to accomplish various missions, I know something of the role of Task Force Leader. The first thing I learned as a Task Force Leader is that I must accept what the members of the Task Force are able to contribute to the mission, with my backing and resources supporting them. Everyone has strengths and weakness that must be accounted for and managed by the Task Force Leader.

Jesus had this same situation with His Task Force; some had strong leadership personalities that may have been a little slow in getting the point that Jesus was trying to make. Some were encouragers of others, some were more relational than others, some were more action oriented, some were more loyal than others and some were Zealots for the Jews. This was the melting pot of disciples that Jesus had to work with to accomplish his mission, but note there is no deadline for accomplishing this mission. In some cases, what Jesus had to teach them was way above their ability to understand the message Jesus was presenting and Jesus made these lessons as simple as possible with his parables.

The natural leader of the disciples, after Jesus returned to his home in Heaven, was Peter, who had much difficulty comprehending the teachings of Jesus. Peter loved Jesus and was devoted to protecting God the Father’s reputation. Peter was all about action and getting things accomplished. At one point, Peter accused a husband and wife team of capitalism – of sinning against God by withholding funds they had received from the sale of their land and not giving all of the proceeds from this sale to support the socialist ministry the Apostles had created to take care of widows and the poor. i

This writer thinks that after seeing Peter in action, Jesus was sitting on his throne, pulling his hair out and looking for a new leader to move his church forward. Peter was dedicated, loyal, willing to step out and take risks for the sake of the Gospel, but a little slow in getting the message of the Gospel.

And along came Saul – big bad Saul! Who had just the right personality characteristics that Jesus knew could be used to put His Church on the map. Paul was persecuting the followers of
Jesus, beating them and throwing them in jail all to obtain the approval of the leaders of the Sanhedrin, the ruling religious authority to the Jews. Paul was an approval seeker; he also knew he was right even when he wasn’t. These were the personality characteristic that Jesus knew could put His Church on the map. Jesus called Saul into His service and Saul,ii who became Paul, did just that he put Jesus’s Church on the map. It was not the Church that Jesus wanted, but close enough for now. Remember, there is no deadline for Jesus to establish His Church on this planet.

What Should the Church of Jesus Look like?

A recent program, from July of 2015 on PBS Television under the program Quest, recorded the finding of scientists in regard to the learning capabilities of birds. They found that the size of a mammal’s brain is proportional to the mass of the mammal’s body. The data followed a straight line proportional relationship of brain size to body mass. There were a few exceptions: the brain size/body mass of humans was above this linear line as were chimpanzees and Corbett birds. Dogs who exhibit much intelligence were right on the proportional line, but did not exhibit the problem solving abilities of those species above the proportional line.

A group of black Corbett birds, coming together as a community to learn from each other, was shown, as were juvenile Corbett birds having a two-year relationship with their parents to learn how to make and use tools to gather in hard to reach food. This is the model Jesus had in mind when he set out on His mission to establish His Church on this planet. Community, believers and His followers coming together to learn from each other what His Personal Counselor had been teaching them. The Church was not intended to be a lecture hall where a professional Christian proclaimed what he thought the congregation needed to learn, but each church member learning from each other. In smaller groups, like Bible Study Groups, the leader was not intended to be a university professor lecturing to his students as the most knowledgeable person in the room. But the leader acting as a facilitator to involve discussions among the members so they could learn from each other.

Church members have a tendency to replicate the public education system in the church. It is not only the church that has gone astray, but the university system as well, for the founder of the university system, Plato, would be appalled to find out that someone can pay an accredited institution a large sum of money and have their knowledge certified. The church also receives these professional Christian teachers to operate in the same way as traditional secular learning institutions operate. The Church of Jesus was meant to be about community – members coming together and sharing their knowledge with others of the community, just like the Corbett birds.

Making changes of this magnitude can be quite an ordeal for a church. The professional Christian has become obsolete; the church is about voluntary ministers and ministries. Professional Christians become dependent on the congregation for their financial support and, therefore, must “preach to the choir,” or people will vote with their feet and find a different
church and they will be in financial trouble and mortgage trouble. This means that a church stuck in a rut will stay in a rut, as moving out of that rut means moving the whole church in an agreed upon fashion. Therefore, although it looked like a good idea to Paul to have professional Christians in the church, it turned out to be a bad idea, and in some denominations, a complete disaster as they are so far off track, led by their professional Christians, that they have not a chance of recovery. iii

Autonomous Reflection: The Most Powerful Force on the Planet ver. 1.0.1
The Philosopher
7/7/2015
https://anewparadigminchristianthinking.wordpress.com/tag/Autonomous-Reflection/

Introduction: Autonomous Reflection History:

Autonomous Reflection has been around at least since the days of Socrates, when he challenged his society’s morals and ethics. He was rewarded by imprisonment, where he refused a planned escape plan by his friends involving the usual custom of bribery of prison officials. He would only accept release from the people that had put him in prison. He was eventually offered a cup of hemlock by those who put him in prison and represented the corruption in this society.i

When The Savior (Jesus) started his mission on this planet, He went off to the desert for a long time measured in days (figuratively 40 days) to be alone and in a place where he could hear Himself think and reflect on His mission (Autonomous Reflection). He also distanced Himself from distractions and went to a quiet place like the Garden of Olives to Reflect Autonomously.ii

Saul, who was called by the Savior to take his Gospel to the Gentiles and the Jews, also went into the desert to Reflect Autonomously. Saul took the name of Paul during this process. On attempting to bring the Gospel to his fellow Jews, the Jewish Zealots and Jewish leaders attempted to kill Paul and he was put under protective custody by the Romans for about two years. This gave Paul plenty of time for Reflection Autonomously. iii Paul also was a tent maker, operating a sewing awl, which, as anyone who has used a sewing awl on sails or canvas can attest to, gave him plenty of opportunity for Autonomous Reflection. It was only after Paul convinced his new converts in his newly established churches to support him and his mission did Paul find time to micromanage his new churches and he had less time for Autonomous Refection. iv

Late in the 17th century, Rene` Descartes, a French Philosopher and Christian, rediscovered the process of Autonomous Reflection. His use of this method of thinking was to determine truth autonomously, as opposed to being instructed of the truth by the religious and civil authorities (which were probably the same persons). Using this method, Descartes doubted everything until he could prove it to himself beyond any doubt.v

This process of determining truth autonomously was taken up by other philosophers who became known as the Enlightenment Philosophers. Immanuel Kant, a German Philosopher, stated that “If it is now asked, “Do we presently live in an enlightened age?” the answer is, “No, but we do live in an age of enlightenment.” As matters now stand, a great deal is still lacking in order for men as a whole to be, or even to put themselves into a position to be able without external guidance to apply understanding confidently to religious issues. But we do have clear indications that the way is now being opened for men to proceed freely in this direction and that the obstacles to general enlightenment–to their release from their self-imposed immaturity–are gradually diminishing. In this regard, this age is the age of
enlightenment, the century of Frederick”.vi Therefore, the beginning of the Enlightenment Period started late in the 17th century and continues to this day in the 21st century, as we are still being enlightened.

Thomas Jefferson was influenced by these Enlightenment Philosophers and was inspired to write The Declaration of Independence, and was assigned to this task by John Adams who thought that Jefferson was a much better writer than himself. Adams saw his skills as a lawyer to be oratory in nature.vii
The Enlightenment Philosophers in Great Britain: John Locke and David Hume were responsible for leading the bloodless revelation in England.viii The Enlightenment Philosophers in France, Rene` Descartes, the metaphysician Baron Henri d’Holbach, the political philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, ant the political reformer-writer Voltaire, were responsible for leading the French Revolution.ix A less notable revolution was in the Ottoman Empire, which underwent a revolution similar to the French Revolution the Sultan abdicated to a self-governing empire.x

An interesting sidebar was that, in a documentary made in Palestine in 1913 before WWI, Arabs, Muslims, Christians and Jews were living in harmony in Palestine under the Ottoman Empire. It was the Russian Jews, who were being forced out of Russia and coming to Palestine, that upset the established balance in Palestine. In addition, farming in Palestine was a lot different than farming in Russia and the new immigrant Jews became a burden on this society.

In the 20th and early 21st century, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) have been known to build rooms that were acoustically isolated from their office environment in which to put into use the methodology of Autonomous Reflection to lead their organizations. In the USA, our legislature had constructed Camp David as a place where our President could go and find solitude to put into use the methodology of Autonomous Reflection. This is in much contrast to Martha’s Vineyard, where Presidents can spend more interesting vacation time with their families, but may have difficulty finding a place where they can hear themselves think.xi Researchers put this methodology to push the extents of the envelope, to develop new methods, products, procedures and solve difficult problems.

To date no woman has presented herself as an Enlightenment Philosopher. This could be because a woman does not think she has this ability, or society does not think she has this ability or she does not have this ability. Women are well known for their women’s intuition, which men seem not to possess, so it may well be reasonable to conclude that women do not have the ability to put into use the methodology of Autonomous Reflection.

The Future of Autonomous Reflection

Autonomous Reflection is becoming an extinct skill. In this 21st century, it is becoming more difficult to create the environment where one can hear themselves think. Mind noise and distractions are everywhere: television, radio, MP3 players, Walkmans, stereos, car radios, CD players, tape decks – we are constantly bombarded with mind noise. And then there are all the events that we need to attend and watch, like our national sports: baseball, basketball, football, auto-racing, soccer, hockey, cricket, softball, golf, bowling, dancing, as well as bar hopping, church services, political rallies, concerts, opera, symphony performances. And all of these must take place outside normal business hours. If Autonomous Reflection is to survive – and our society may well be at risk – we need to provide time and place for this activity. It may well be expected that one putting this Autonomous Reflection methodology into use could fall asleep in the process of pushing the extents of the envelope. This consequence needs to be accepted by our society.

Autonomous Reflection trumps written documents, even when given the authority of being the written word of God, Mohammad, Buda, Confucius or any other authority. Jesus did not write anything down; he knew the game plan was that He would send us His Personal Counselor to “Teach us all that we needed to know.” We just need to connect with His Personal Counselor through Autonomous Reflection. As Jesus instructed us to go into a closet and tell our Father in Heaven what is on our hearts and mind.xii

A College Scholarship Program to Train Students “Autonomous Reflection”

My partner and I have operated a College Scholarship Fund for 20 years. We have recently reformatted the program to emphasize the use of Autonomous Reflection. We have talent scouts in various forms looking for college or ongoing college students that show great interest and talent in presenting the Gospel and have an avid interest in advancing our knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus. This is not free money; this is an investment in their future performance.

While in college they are expected to conduct research into the Gospel of Jesus with a group or individually using the books of Mark, Luke, and Acts of the Apostles only. They are to read one chapter a week and write up an individual report to the study group or to an editor/publisher and present their interpretation of the information they have covered in this study of these books. They are to use only facts that can be determined to be stand-alone facts recorded for no other purpose than to record the events that took place. They are not to use anyone’s interpretation of the facts, any facts used to make an argument as to the truth of the facts or any interpretation of the facts. They should use “Just the facts ma’am, just the facts,” as Joe Friday on Dragnet had stated it and our courts which do not allow “Hearsay Evidence” to be heard in court. It has been documented by researchers like C. G. Jung, and from the insights of the founding fathers of the USA, that there is an increased ability to use this methodology of Autonomous Reflection after the age of 35 years of age. The founding fathers stipulated that no person could be President until obtaining the age of 35 years of age. Therefore, we ask the students recipients of these college funds to agree to apply this skill of Autonomous Reflection to advancing our knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus after attaining the age of 35 years of age.

We support this college scholarship fund by putting up for silent auction fine hand-built guitars that are acoustically optimized to produce efficient simple harmonic motion (sound) using methods similar to “Free Plate Tuning,” but in greater precision and understanding of the physics than Stradivarius when he used sawdust on his violin plates and induced a vibration on those plates with a string and a bow as a feedback mechanism to guide the carving of these plates. Once he had produced a mode pattern that was formed by the sawdust appearing on the plates, he knew he had that consistent superior sound that his violins produced. I use the same methodology using Chladni Mode patterns generated by sawdust with the plates driven by a signal generator and speaker as the feedback mechanism to “Free-Plate” tune the plates to produce efficient simple harmonic motion. A description of the guitars up for auction, their starting bid and deadlines for bid, as well as our methodology for producing these exceptional acoustic guitars and the college scholarship program can be found on my website
A coalition could be formed to purchase one of these acoustic guitars for a church or other organization so that members of these organizations could play on of these “Best Sounding Guitars on the Planet.” Stradivarius violins now sell for over two million USD. The same economic “supply and demand” valuation can be expected from these guitars once the supply has been reduced to zero, due to the maker returning home to that place beyond sky or on the other side of the speed of light.xiii
