National Security and Worship

Condensed Version: For full paper see:

As a National Crises Troubleshooter for the past 55 years (with a short break for college where I graduated at the top of my class and received an offer to come to Livermore at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where I earned the reputation as “The Top Gun National Crises Troubleshooter”), my interests, of course, include national security.  I learned about national security of the Israelite nation while teaching fourth grade Sunday school at TC.  It appears the Israelites had a slight problem understanding the guidelines that were given to them that would have made their new nation successful.  It also appears the Apostles had a slight problem with understanding the instructions that the messenger (the Representative of the Creator of the Universe, or “RoCoU”) they called Jesus gave to them on His exit from this planet Earth.

The Time Line:

  • The Israelites took the Ten Guidelines for a successful nation as literal commands.
  • The Israelites actually made a religion around these Ten Guidelines they took as Ten Commandments.
  • The Israelites were overrun by their neighbors the Babylonians and their elites forced into exile.
  • See for complete paper

In regard to national security, nothing that man has thought up could surpass this gift of a personal guide through life. There is no possibility that a “sacred cow” could be made of this gift and therefore not a threat to our national security or discourse within our nation among our citizens.

In a nutshell, the Ten Guidelines, Ten Codes of Conduct, or, as the religious demand, Ten Commandments recorded in Exodus chapter twenty were given to a new-forming nation that was given land to build their nation.  These Ten Guidelines, when followed, would give this new nation a high economic operating efficiency.   Their national debt would not be skyrocketing out of control, exceeding their capacity to even make payments on the interest to the loans from other countries.  They would be a stronger nation than their competitors’ nations and would not be overrun by their neighbors.  These Ten Guidelines are all about national security and influence to the world.

The Path to World Peace ver. 1.2.7

A Case of Mistaken Identity

The path to world peace is much simpler than anyone has imagined. Peace on Earth could come down to one word: “worship” and a case of mistaken identity.

World peace has not been known since the Homo sapiens evolved on the planet and started their expansion across the globe.  Some other homos also evolved – such as the Homo Neanderthal – but the Homo sapiens (wise Homo) dominated the planet Earth.  Conflict often resulted from competition for natural resources or over territorial boundaries.  With the advent of ice ages and low sea levels, the Homo sapiens populated the globe.  Due to different climates, these Homo sapiens evolved to match their environment.  As populations grew and resources became scarce, wars of expansion dominated the globe for centuries.

There is a place in the Mediterranean known as the Fertile Crescent, where agriculture replaced the hunters and gathers and permanent communities and cities began to appear as the ice age receded.  As part of the evolution of man, worship was a key element in almost all of the societies on the planet.  Worship took on different forms, from sun worshipers to human sacrifices to the gods.

  • To repeat: the major focus of the new Paradigm is the “Personal Counselor”, a.k.a. The Holy Spirit that was sent to us by the RoCoU to guide us through life and teach us everything we need to know. [i] This is the New Paradigm shift and is exclusive of the Old Paradigm, and not a progression of the Old Paradigm. Thus, the path to world peace is this simple: just listen for this counselor and He will find you, guide you and teach you.

  • Do not make yourself an idol and worship your idol: not God, Jesus, Allah, Mohamed, Buddha, Confucius; the cross, the Star of David, the Bible, the New Testament, the Quran, or any written works. Anything that will take control of your decision-making, such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs of all kinds, etc. become idols, and addictions become sacred cows and sacred cows need to be defended at all costs until death! Therefore, The Path to World Peace is to eliminate all worship for it is worship that creates sacred cows and causes differences that must be defended. Worship is an artifact of ancient man.  Stay in control of your life by listening to the Personal Counselor that the RoCoU sent to you.

How to Quit a Drug Habit in Three DAYS Ver. 1.0.2

Drug addiction can be beat by knowing just a little about how our brains work and with a little help from a Russian Psychologist, Dr. Ivan Pavlov, and his discovery of “Conditioned Response” and acknowledging the existence of a “Higher Power.”

Conditioned Response

Pavlov performed many experiments with animals, but his most notable accomplishment was his work with a dog in a cage, a large beef steak and a bell.  He would offer the steak to the dog in the cage from outside the cage and the dog would salivate.  He then offered the steak to the dog and rang a bell.  He continued this procedure for several iterations, and then he just rang the bell and the dog would salivate.  This is how he developed his theory of “Conditioned Response.” [i]

The Existence of a Higher Power

The existence of a Higher Power has been the subject of debate with philosophers for many centuries, and the results often depend on the preexisting thoughts of observers when they are shown evidence of this Higher Power.  Two arguments are thus summarized.

The Watch in the Sand

You are walking along a deserted beach, you find a watch in the sand (electronic or geared), and you conclude, ‘People have been here,’ because it is highly unlikely that a mechanism as intricately designed as a watch might be thrown together by the chance forces of nature.  A pebble on the beach might be curiously shaped, but anything approaching the complexity of a tool or a piece of sculpture, much less a complex mechanism, would strike us as proof of some intelligent being.”  So it is with the universe. [ii]

The Caretaker

Two men are traveling through the woods on foot and they come upon a well-manicured garden.  It is a garden perfectly shaped and trimmed with flower beds arranged in perfect order.  The one man sates, “There must be a caretaker around here to make this so beautiful.”  The second man expounds, “This is a beautiful work of nature!” [iii]

The Universe

The facts revealed in recent years about the universe is that the Big Bang Theory is now well accepted among astrophysicists and astrologers, and they have estimated that there are approximately four billion planets similar to planet Earth in orbit around a sun in the “Goldilocks Zone” (Not too hot, not too cold, not too big, and not too small). With water and amino acid, life can begin and evolve on these planets, as all the other elements for life are readily available in the universe. These elements are also known as “star dust.”  We can argue that this was an act of nature and not of a Higher Power, or we can accept that a Higher Power put the universe in action with a Big Bang and it is held in shape by a web of gravitational waves. [iv]

The Method of Quitting the Drug Habit

This method for breaking the drug habit is based on the work of Dr. Ivan Pavlov in developing the theory of Conditioned Response and my own experience as a smoker of eighteen years.  The following method applies the technology of Conditioned Response to the drug habit and redirects the response to complete the transaction begun by the stimulus. The stimulus is then removed by soliciting the aid of a Higher Power.  This method is as simple as teaching a dog to sit or roll over. We can be trained to quit a drug habit, or, for that matter, train ourselves to do anything.  The conscious mind trains the unconscious mind, and the unconscious mind does everything automatically, from putting a cup of coffee to our lips to reaching for a small book or smart phone instead of a drug.

The Drug Habit as a Conditioned Response

The first step in stopping a drug addiction is to identify the stimulus received that causes the response to want to “take a drug.”  For me, the stimulus was an empty feeling in my chest that signaled my need for nicotine. Once the stimulus is identified, the response can be redirected.

The second step is to redirect the response that is given to the stimulus. A lot of people redirect the response to their mouth by eating something, chewing gum or a toothpick. A better place to redirect the response is to the mind. Redirection can be accomplished by replacing the cigarette pack with a small book the same size as a pack of cigarettes  such as a New Testament Bible or a Smart Phone with the “TEXT” to be read).   I suggest Psalm I and is recommended for its relationship to a higher power). This action in itself is a new response. When the stimulus is received (I need a cigarette), the words of the passage are read and they bring to conclusion the transaction initiated by the stimulus. The retraining has begun.

The Final Step

The final step is to ask the Higher Power to take away the stimulus.  The very act of admitting a need for intervention of the Higher Power transfers responsibility for removing the stimulus to the Higher Power. You are also showing a trust for the Higher Power to remove the stimulus.  Some common names for the Higher Power are: God, Jesus, Yahweh, Father, and Jehovah, etc. Use any name you desire for this Higher Power.   Some people call this prayer. I simply call it talking with the Higher Power.  This action is still consistent with the Conditioned Response Theory.  These actions (praying, talking, asking) bring to conclusion the transaction that began with the stimulus (“I need a drug”).

A Proven Method

The method I found that worked was to insert a New Testament and Psalms Bible into my shirt pocket where the cigarettes would normally be kept. This book is the same size as a pack of cigarettes and works well as a substitute, as would a smartphone displaying the selected text. When the stimulus was received, I pulled out the book, turned to the first Psalm and read it from beginning to end.  The first Psalms begins with, “Blessed is the man (woman) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked….”  The Psalm continues, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.”  In about three days, I had successfully transferred the response to reading the passage.  I then asked my Higher Power to remove the stimulus and admitted I was powerless to remove it myself. The simple act of asking and admitting to be powerless, to do this myself, was enough to remove the stimulus.  In a short time, I did not have to ask. The stimulus was gone and I was free of the addiction to this drug.

Psalm 1 (NIV)

Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers,

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

and who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers.

Not so the wicked!

They are like chaff

that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Conclusion of the Research Project:
“A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking” Ver. 3.1

“The Pentecost Festival Event” “The Festival of First Fruits”
July 6, 2014

Topic: The Fast Track to: The Gospel of Jesus Christ (The Good News of Jesus Christ)

This is the conclusion of a research project concerning the Holy Scriptures and Gospel as they relate to our National Security. This project was assigned to this author by ‘Who knows Who”, in the late 1980’s, after giving a speech at a Platform Speakers Club on the topics covered in Amos chapter 4. This chapter is concerned with the results of our social priorities and behavior and how they affect our National Security.

This conclusion is based on a research project on the Bible Books of Mark and Acts considered being the “Raw Data” to be analysis for this project using scientific and philosophical protocols.

Paradigm, Paradigm Shift and Dominant Paradigm:

A use of the word “paradigm”, in the sense of “worldview”, for example, in social science, the term is used to describe the set of experiences, beliefs and values that affect the way an individual perceives reality and responds to that perception. Social scientists have adopted the Kuhnian phrase “paradigm shift” to denote a change in how a given society goes about organizing and understanding reality. A “dominant paradigm” refers to the values, or system of thought, in a society that are most standard and widely held at a given time. Dominant paradigms are shaped both by the community’s cultural background and by the context of the historical moment,

The term “Paradigm”, in this paper, is defined as meaning to go in a new direction and for some Paradigms, making all previous knowledge of the subject obsolete, “Paradigm Shift”. Jesus brought in a new Paradigm, resulting in a Paradigm Shift concerning our relationship to our Heavenly Father, and, as usual with Paradigm Shifts, he was met with stiff resistance from the established way of thinking on this subject; “God is for us (as Jesus taught, the new Paradigm) VS we are for God (the Jewish established Paradigm)” And as is often the case the rebuttals were of the ad hominem style, that is, attacking not the augment, but the speaker of the argument. Thus, bringing a new paradigm into the world of religion can be life threating; luckily we live in a country that had enough sense to create a “Wall of Separation between Church and State” thanks to the forward thinking of a founding father Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826).

A Founding Father’s View of the Gospel in His Day:

“The Christian priesthood, finding the doctrines of Christ leveled to every understanding and too plain to need explanation, saw, in the mysticisms of Plato, Materials with which they might build up an artificial system which might, from its indistinctness, admit everlasting controversy, give employment for their order, and introduce it to profit, power, and preeminence. The doctrines which flowed from the lips of Jesus himself are within the comprehension of a child; but thousands of volumes have not yet explained the Platonisms engrafted on them: and for this obvious reason that nonsense can never be explained.” Jefferson, Thomas (1829). Memoir, Correspondence, and Miscellanies: From the Papers of Thomas Jefferson. H. Colburn and R. Bentley. p. 242.,+finding+the+doctrines+of+Christ+levelled%22. Retrieved 2009-03-28.

The conclusion of this research project is that the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ is the empowerment of the individual by: One, a personal connection with our Father in Heaven, and Two, receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit as a “Real-Time Personal Counselor”. The teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels of: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are about how to live life and connect to our “Father in Heaven” which is the purpose of Jesus Christ coming to earth, which is found in two sentences within a few paragraphs in the New Testament Bible, Mathew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16. Certainly his mission was multipurpose to include teaching us how to live life, how to connect with our Father in Heaven, what our Father in Heaven can do for us and removing any barriers that could prevent us from making a connection with our Father in Heaven including guilt over past actions or thoughts. The rest of the information in the Bible, and in the New Testament letters is very useful, interesting and necessary information but, is also a distraction to finding the main mission for the visit, the death, resurrection and ascension into heaven of Jesus Christ, to teach and deliver the Holy Spirit.

When someone, and most of the world, thinks of Christianity they think of Christmas and Easter. If most are asked about Pentecost, they would probably draw a blank and wonder what Pentecost has to do with Christianity? Many think that accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior and or being baptized in water makes them a Christian, but few have heard about being baptized with the Holy Spirit. And this it turns out was the main mission of Jesus Christ’s visit to earth and this mission began during the Pentecost Festival (Festival of the Firsts Fruits) following his resurrection. Reference is given to the two sentences in the New Testament Bible:
Mark 1: 7, 8…. And this was his message (John): “After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts (of the Apostles) 1: 4, 5 ….”Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 2:1-4…. When the day of Pentecost came, the Apostles were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…..
Acts 2:38, 39…. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

Peter may have overstated the requirements for receiving the Holy Spirit, AS RECEIVING THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS A MATTER OF A PERSONAL Will and DECISION. If one wills to receive the Holy Spirit, the Personal Advisor, Counselor and Tour Guide through life, that is all that is needed, nothing else needs to be done, not even a declaration of this decision to accept the Holy Spirit. In fact if you want to connect to our Father in Heaven, “go into your room, close the door and ask your Father who is unseen” for what you need, Matthew 6:6 (relevant to this subject, but the book of Mathew is outside the scope of this study).

Fast Forward to the Present Day

From the beginning shortly after the delivery of the Holy Spirit at the Pentecost Festival by Jesus, a series of events have happed that now place more focus on the messenger or other religious ceremonies, than the message. Examples are Baptism, the Bread and Wine Ceremony of the Last Supper (Communion), initiated in the First Century by the Apostle Paul in the Corinthian Church, Christmas and Easter celebrations and many more add-on’s depending on the Sect. Even some of the Apostles writings focused on Jesus rather than on the message Jesus came to deliver. In today’s investigative world the Apostles would be seen as too close emotionally to the situation to make a clear judgment of the purpose of the visit to earth by Jesus. By elevating the messenger above the message, the Christian Church, is now, focused more on the messenger than the message.

The Gospel interpretations recorded are numerous and the Holy Spirit, at least in most Christian Churches, is now found somewhere in the backroom, not found at all, due to many distracting practices, or how to receive the Holy Spirit has been misinterpreted. Or the purpose of and Working with the Holy Spirit was misinterpreted to mean something other than “Our Own Personal Counselor and Tour Guide through Life”. The Holy Spirit has diminished in importance over the past twenty centuries and is now underutilized in our society.

In fact, the follow-up investigation “The Evolution of the Christian Church” indicates that Jesus did not set foot on this planet to set himself up as an object of worship. But He had other goals, objectives and a Gospel that was overshadowed by putting our focus on the messenger rather than the message. The Gospel message was: that each and every one of us could receive a personal Counselor, Advisor and Tour Guide though life, if we so choose to accept this entity into our lives and listen to the guidance we receive and accept what this “Tour Guide” does for us as we go through this journey of life.

A popular opinion in today’s church is that “we are God’s Servant and God is not our servant, that God leads and we follow”, this is similar to the position of whether a “Parent is there for the child or is the Child there for the Parent”. Can God be considered the Parent and we his Children, “Children of God?” Notice that Jesus referred to “Our Father in Heaven” could this be a redefining of the term “God”. In reality on earth the Parent is there for the Child until the Parent becomes like a child (aged), then the Child is there for the Parent. This idea that we are on earth to serve God goes back at least to the time when the Israelites were given the Ten Commandments by God through Moses. These Ten Commandments are not Categorical Imperative, but Hypothetical Imperatives. A Categorical imperative is something you do because you know it is the right thing to do, when you obey the commands and receive a reward or something else for obeying the command, this is a Hypothetical Imperative. The reward for following the Ten Commandments, given to this new Israelite nation, is “That you will live long in the land that your Lord God is giving you” Exodus 20:12. The Ten Commandments is applied to individuals and many individuals make a nation. The Ten Commandments were meant to form this new nation, made up of slaves for the last four hundred years, with a strong infrastructure so they would be stronger than their enemies who would take away the land that “Your Lord God has given them”.

The Israelites interpreted the Ten Commandments to mean they were servants of God. This idea persevered even up to the arrival of Jesus Christ on earth when there were so many “Rules” that one could hardly help but break on of them. There are many teachings of Jesus that shows that God is there for us, they are so numerous that there are too many to list in this paper. When Jesus died, was resurrected and ascended into heaven, he sent us the Holy Spirit to empower those who accepted this gift as individuals and freed them of a life of “Rules”. But, the Israelites still did not get it right, and the gentiles did not get it right when they expressed a belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit empowers those whom receive this gift from Our Father in Heaven, and is there to guide and give real time console to each individual who has accepted the Holy Spirit as their guide. As Jesus said “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” John 14:26. “For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say” Luke 12:12. Although these three books of the Bible are outside the scope of this study (Mark and Acts) does not mean they are not indeed facts.
As stated earlier, Jesus’s visit to earth was multipurpose and as is stated in John 14:3…. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. “ In today’s church this is taken to mean we will have eternal live in heaven, I would consider this as a benefit of receiving the Holy Spirit, although the book of “John” is outside the scoop of this study.

The Bases for this Research Project:

As a trained researcher and systems troubleshooter for over forty years, this investigation was conducted with disciplined scientific and philosophical protocols’ of investigation. One of these protocols’ are to not base an opinion on someone else’s opinion, but to only base an opinions on the “raw data”, this is similar to a USA Court Judges not being allowed to hear testimony of a witness stating what someone else told them was the facts, “Hearsay Evidence”. The accounts in the Bible Books of Mark and Acts would both be considered “Hearsay Evidence” with the exception of Mark and Luke telling of events they witnessed, and therefore would not be allowable in a USA Courtroom. Therefore, the first protocol is to judge if the “Hearsay Evidence” was given without bias or is the writer’s assertion or opinion of the facts or if the writing was presented as an argument to convince a target audience to believe in the facts (not written to only record the events). This is the reason the Bible Books of Mark and Acts were chosen for this study, “A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking”, The Book of Mark was written by Mark a “Sideline Witness” to the events of the study and appears to have been written in a hurry as to get the events down on paper before the writer was eliminated by the furry that was then in Rome at this time. Luke is a skilled writer and as the writer of the book of Acts, decades after the facts, recorded the events, gathered as a Journalist would, probably in a Journal, recording the good, the bad, and the ugly, without inserting his opinion or interpretation of the events. Luke appears to be an imbedded Journalist in the three missionary journeys of the Apostle Paul as he uses the term “we” in regard to recording the experiences of the missions. Luke also recorded experiences of which he was not present and could only have received this information from someone else, such as Phillip in his experience with the eunuch from Ethiopia. This is the “Raw Data” on which this study “A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking” is based. This “Raw Data” does not appear to be formulated as an argument to convince, instruct or persuade anyone to believe in this “Raw Data” but appears to be a “Best Effort” to document the events that took place at this time in the history of man. This ‘Raw Data” protocol does not negate the data that does not meet this standard for “Raw Data”, these data just cannot be considered under the protocols for scientific and philosophical investigation. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke both contain the “Raw Data” given in the Gospel of Mark and appear to be written as an argument to convince a target audience to believe in the “Raw Data”, this would make them someone’s opinion or corrupted “Raw Data” and not meet the protocol standard for “Raw Data”. The Gospel of John is still under consideration as to its meeting the protocol standard for “Raw Data”. A major component of this standard is the purpose in recording these events. Was the purpose to record the events of the time for no other reasons than to record the events, or was it written for some other purpose, such as to convince a target audience to believe in the events or their interpretation of the events. This decision will determine if the Gospel of John can be considered in this scientific and philosophical investigation.

• In reference to Cornerstone Fellowship, The Executive Team – Lead Pastor, regarding Galatians Chapter 2, the Gospel = LDRAH (Lived, Died, Rose, Ascended, Holy Spirit). Jesus Lived and taught about life and how to connect to our Father in Heaven, Jesus Died on the cross , Jesus Rose from the grave, Jesus Ascended into heaven, Jesus delivered the Holly Spirit during the festival of Pentecost.
• This is the same conclusion as this investigation of the “Raw Data” the books of Mark and Acts, by Scientific and Philosophical protocols, and is considered conformation of the conclusion, of the research project “A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking” There are two parts to the Gospel, part 1, Jesus Lived and taught us about life and how to connect to our Father in Heaven, part 2, Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit at the Pentecost Festival after ascension into heaven as a personal counselor, advisor and Tour Guide through life, for each and every one on earth, “A New Paradigm in Christian Thinking”.

If ad hominem is your style of rebuttal, you would do well to remain silent as to not put your ignorance on public display.
